Now that Spring is *finally* on the horizon, we can start looking at what’s going on locally over the next few months; university can be hard work, so it’s always worth looking at what’s coming up and making plans to motivate you when it comes to your studies! So without further ado, here’s what’s on in Gloucester this Spring…
Creating a Fashion Story
Another FREE event, this workshop is specifically for 18-25 year olds; you’ll get to look at costumes and trends, local history and how it can tie in with contemporary fashion, and so much more. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something creative to do, either to complement your studies or to give your mind something else to focus on for the afternoon.

Spring Equinox Faery Fayre
The Spring Equinox, which takes place later this month, is a turning point in the calendar which signifies the start of a brand new season. This family-friendly event is FREE entry, so perfect for your pocket, and has all sorts to offer from craft stalls to guest exhibitors, a faery trail and live entertainment. It promises to be the perfect way to spend a couple of hours, taking your mind off all your hard work.

Funhouse Comedy Club Night
At £10 per head this is roughly the same price as a couple of drinks in a club, but it’s sure to be much more hilarious – enjoy some stand up comedy from Sean Heydon and Fiona Allen, both of whom you might recognise from TV, as well as British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist Jacob Nussey. If you’re feeling at all stressed regarding your studies, laughter really is the best medicine so why not book a ticket and head down to join in the fun?

Easter Beer Festival
Are you a beer connoisseur or someone who loves live music and street food? This is the festival for you, then! Tickets are £10 but you get a branded pint glass and drinks tokens included in that, and there is so much to see in terms of bands, delicious snacks, and of course a huge variety of beers…

70s Motown Night
Fancy a club night with a difference? Enjoy some 70s soul and motown music at Walls Social Club; entry is £7, the bar prices are pretty decent, and there will be a range of DJs playing some interesting tunes which are a far cry from the usual nightclub vibe – but it’s always fun to do something out of the ordinary!
