From freshers week to cheap student nights throughout the year, there will be many occasions to go out, let your hair down and have a few drinks. We’ve put together a list of some of the best student-friendly bars, pubs and clubs in Hereford so you can enjoy your downtime!
Beer in Hand
This family-owned pub serves a huge range of tasty beer, as the name would suggest – but they are no stranger to local ciders, wines and spirits either! Many of the brands they sell come from Hereford, so you might not have tried them before. This is a popular spot when it comes to student nightlife in Hereford; they are open Tuesday through Saturday, and are happy to accept groups. It’s also dog friendly, so you might get to see some pooches! Beer in Hand is around a 15-minute walk from our No.1 Station Approach accommodation.
Gordon Bennetts
If you like live music, this is the place to go – and it’s always free entry, making it perfect for students on a budget. There is live music every Friday and Saturday from 9pm, and on these nights it’s open ‘til 3am! Located in Saint Peter’s Square, you can walk there in less than 15 minutes from No.1 Station Approach.
Rubix Bar
Open 8pm ‘til late Thursday to Sunday, this is a fantastic place to party during the weekend. What could be more fun than an 80s theme?! With free entry, a wide range of drinks offers and so much more, this is the place to be if clubbing is your scene. Again you can get here on foot in less than 15 minutes from our Station Approach site, so it’s the perfect option for student nightlife in Hereford.
Play
If you’re a party animal, Play is the ideal venue. Every Friday entry is free for the first 200 guests, then just £2 after that – and you can make the most of their £2 drinks offers all night long. Saturdays are for ‘Saturplay’, with entry from £2.50 and plenty of great music, confetti, and flowing drinks. Open from 10.30pm until around 3am every Friday and Saturday, this makes for the ideal place to go clubbing at the weekend in Hereford. It only takes around 10 minutes to walk here from our accommodation too!
