Brunch is an absolutely essential part of student life. Okay, maybe not essential… but there is something so wonderful about breaking up your studies with a hybrid of breakfast and lunch. It feels frivolous and grown-up, and it’s definitely something you can work into your student budget. Our Station Approach accommodation is within walking distance of Hereford city centre, where you can find plenty of delicious brunch spots…
The Regency Cafe
From omelettes to avocado toast to mouthwatering chai lattes, The Regency Cafe in St. Peter’s Square has it all and won’t break the bank. It’s near to the cathedral, has excellent customer service and even offers free WiFi, if you’re looking for somewhere to study and eat at the same time. Everything is freshly cooked, and there are vegan options and milk alternatives available.
Cookies Cafe
Cookies Cafe is a small independent cafe in Bewell Square; it’s dog friendly so you might stumble upon some furry friends, and the coffee is absolutely excellent. With a variety of brunch items on the menu from cooked breakfasts to jacket potatoes, you can’t go wrong – and that’s before we even get to the huge range of cakes on offer here. Again this is a great value-for-money location, perfect for students looking for a budget brunch in Hereford!
Cafe Miro
From chunky toast to delicious, fluffy American pancakes, you’ll be spoilt for choice with Cafe Miro’s breakfast menu – served until 11.30am, with gluten-free options available too which is great to see. Located on St Owen Street, this is a fantastic and central option for a good value brunch in Hereford.
Bill’s Kitchen
Located inside the beautiful 11th-century All Saints Church, Bill’s Kitchen is a bit less budget-friendly but well worth splashing out on for post-exam treats or when your parents come to visit. Made with local produce, the extensive breakfast menu is served from 8-11.30am, so it’s perfect for early risers and those who may be sleeping off last night’s fun. Choose from eggy bread, sausage and bacon butties, granola, and a whole menu of scrambled eggs with various delicious toppings. Bill’s Kitchen is a must for a more special brunch in Hereford!
